NAKAMOTO, Tsuneji Harry   – 

June 6, 1915 – February 24, 2024

Harry Nakamoto, at age 108, passed away on February 24th, at North York General Hospital with his loving wife, Evelyn, and caring nephew, Ian Heath, at his side.

Harry was one of eight children born to Ura and Kanichi Nakamoto. He was predeceased by brothers, Kazuo, Kenshiro and Masato; and sisters, Sumi, Sada and Aiko.

He will always be loved and remembered by wife, Evelyn; sister, Tomiko; nephew, Ian Heath; his wife, Cara; and their children Vivien and Nora.

Ian has been a godsend in helping Evelyn through this very difficult time. Born in Skeena River, BC, Harry was moved to a Thunder Bay Road Camp during WW2.

After the war he moved to Toronto where he met Evelyn and they were married in 1950. During their 73+ years of marriage, Harry and Evelyn loved travelling together (Hawaii was a favourite), playing golf and watching their Toronto Blue Jays.

Thanks to EMS, Fire Department, Police, and the NYGH Emergency and ICU departments for their care and support given to Harry.

There will be no service, as Harry requested. Burial has taken place at Highland Memory Gardens in North York.
