TUIN, Gerard Gerry Tuin

Passed away peacefully in his 90th year. Born in Heemskerk, Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada with his parents Maria and Gerard Sr., and his siblings Ben, John, Hank, Louis, Ali, Betty and Anne in 1950. Together they embraced the challenges and opportunities of a new country.

Gerry was a proud retiree of the Ford Motor Co., where he worked for 40 years, and had many fond memories of his coworkers and working on the line.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter Debby, son-in-law Dean Johnson; his son Richard Tuin, daughter-in-law Andrea; and his cherished granddaughter Alexia.

Though his harmonica may now be silent, the music of Gerry’s life will continue in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of the Juravinski Hospital E2 Unit for their care during Dad’s final days. Also, much gratitude goes to the staff at Ridgeview Long Term Care for taking such good care of Dad for the last few years.
