TURNAU, Norman Turnau
March 6, 1946 - March 9, 2026Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday March 9, 2026 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Small) for 54 years. Cherished dad of Paul (Micheline), Shawn, and Alison (Roch Cousineau). Proud and loving Grandpa of Aaron and Marieke Turnau, Ollie and Evie Turnau, and Alex, Julien, and Anne Cousineau. Dear brother of John (Nickie). Norman will also be fondly remembered by the Small family, his nieces, nephews and many friends.
Norm was a man of several talents. A skilled handyman, fixer of Austin minis, stink-bidding bridge player, downhill and water skier and captain of his beloved boat, Delilah III. Any day spent on the water, whether it be cruising the Rideau Canal lock system, pulling the kids and grandkids on Calabogie lake or family time at Chazy lake, was a great day. After retiring from his career in the HVAC industry, he worked for fun at Calabogie racetrack and immersed himself in the Calabogie country lifestyle. But most of all he loved his family. His family and friends will remember all the good times they had with Norm at Chazy Lake, Montreal, Ottawa and Calabogie, He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the oncology department at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
