URQHART, Heather Urquhart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Heather Urquhart on October 27th at Heartwood Long Term Care Facility at the age of 79. Cherished by all who knew her.

Heather is predeceased by her parents Eric and Sheila Urquhart, her birth mother Thelma Burnham and her cherished Golden Retriever “Jaws”.

She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Allison Main (Brian), Melanie Urquhart (Alain Cholette), her nieces and nephew Melinda Main (Derek Leroux), Ian Main (Erin Howes), Amy Malyon (Robbie), Andrea Decoeur (Ryan Scott), Stephanie Grant (Robbie), and many great nieces and nephews, Aunts and Uncles, cousins and friends.

If you ever had the privilege of meeting Heather, you could not help but love her. She was kind, gentle, loving, funny and very wise. You couldn’t help but smile when you saw her face. She loved animals, theatre, sparkles, glitter, children and oh how she loved Harley’s. She always called herself a “Biker Chick” who was “Bad to the Bone” driving down the “Highway to Hell” alongside “Jessie’s Girl”

She was the light in so many lives and that light will forever be bright. To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, donation to the OSPCA, Seaway Valley Theatre Company or Beyond 21 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Heather’s family warmly invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Tuesday, November 4thth, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday November 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a chapel service.
