VASEY, Anne Nykolaychuk-Vasey

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry, at the age of 83.

Anne leaves behind her husband Vincent Vasey and the late Nelson Nykolaychuk. Beloved mother of Robert Riggers (Christina), Edward Riggers (Amber)and the late David. Step mother of David Nykolaychuk (Allison), Debra Flaxman, Eileen Vasey-Kelly (Doug), Robert Vasey (Samantha) and Michael Vasey. Proud grandmother of Ashton Riggers, Nicole Riggers (Steve), Alex Nykolaychuk, Dakota Riggers, Catherine Flaxman, Gillian Flaxman, Margaret Flaxman and great granddaughter Vanessa Thomas. Dear sister of Sister M. Gouthro and Eileen Morrow. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Anne had many hobbies, sewing, baking, music, singing and dancing.

She was very committed to her Faith. Anne had great Faith in Our Lord Jesus &; His Blessed Mother Mary. Anne was a devoted member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and was active in the parish community of CWL and St. Vincent De Paul. Anne loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Anne attended Thomas A. Blakelock High School in Oakville, Georgian College in Barrie and after graduating as a Registered Nurse she worked in the Durham Region for 22 years at various hospital locations.

Please join with the family for a Memorial Mass at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church on Friday September 12th at 11am. Ashes to be placed in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum following the service.
