It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helen Ruch, at Maple Manor Nursing Home on June 13, 2025, in her 90th year.

Born in Port Burwell to Minnie (Ecker) and Phillip Vaughan, Helen lived a life full of love, resilience, and adventure. A passionate cook and former nurse’s aide at Sunset Haven, she was also known for her storytelling, card games, and her remarkable ability to always find four-leaf clovers.

Predeceased by her partner Robert Baker, and many beloved siblings. Survived by her brother George Vaughan and her devoted children Maurice (Kathy), Eva (Greg), Sandra (Dave), Kevin (Monica), Michael, James, Laura (Eneas), and Stephen. Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Janice Pow officiating. Interment at Tillsonburg Cemetery.

Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Oxford.
