VENNOR, Allison Vennor

We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend Allison Vennor. Mom passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 11, 2026 at the age of 80.

Allie was born in Ottawa on November 1, 1945 to the late Walter and Jean Dicks. She was a loving sister to Dennis Dicks (Yoshiko), the late Janet Dicks, and Jon Dicks (Sue).

Devoted wife to the late Spence Vennor and a present and patient mother to Mark (Emily), Dean (Angie M) and Scott (Angie S). A loving and attentive “Nana” to Blake, Max, Austin, Corbin, Gavin, Paige and Jack.

Having a tenacious spirit, Mom was known for her fierce independence, a wonderful sense of humour and a deadpan wit. A true “green thumb”, Allie found great peace in her garden and always found joy in the first bloom of spring. Mom enjoyed watching the local birds, especially Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal, and she made sure her bird feeders were always full.

There will be a private burial for the family and a celebration of life for all that knew her once the flowers and green grass return.

Mom will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the stories we share and the love she left behind. With love, from the boys.
