VERES, Tibor John Veres
January 5, 1934 - November 26, 2025
Loving Husband & Father, Successful Entrepreneur, Proud Immigrant
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tibor John Veres, on November 26, 2025, in Markham, at the age of 91. Tibor is survived by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Rosaleen, children Cathy (Steve), Jim (Donna) and Jaclyn, grandchildren Julia and Mark (Brittany), and great-grandchild Carter.
Born in Hungary on January 5th 1934, Tibor immigrated to Canada in 1957, a journey he fondly described as finding “God’s Country.” As a proud immigrant, he went on to become a successful entrepreneur, co-founding a tool and die business, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement at the age of 77. His professional success was matched only by his deep love and commitment to his family.
Tibor was a passionate motorsport enthusiast, with a particular love for motorcycles and Formula 1. In his early years his adventurous spirit led him to race motorcycles in his native Hungary, and he continued to ride well into his 80s. His passion for speed and the open road was a defining part of his character, always seeking the thrill of the ride. Tibor believed that life is a precious gift and should be lived to the fullest. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism, confidence, work ethic, and his unshakeable belief in the importance of family.
One of his favorite sayings was “It’s not easy” and it isn’t easy to say goodbye to someone so loved and admired. The family would like to thank the staff of Kelly’s Home Care for their compassionate care during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada. Rest in peace, Tibor. Your legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in all who knew you.
