VERNUCCIO , Rosa Vernuccio (née Garofalo)

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Rosa Vernuccio on July 23, 2025. Beloved wife of Carmelo (2009). Cherished Ma of Giuseppe and Pauline, Nonna of Jordan and Ashley, and Bis-Nonna of Lorenzo.

She will lovingly be remembered as a mother figure to Antonio and Mary (Carmelo (1987), Roberto and Marcello (2010); Giovanna and Ottorino (2018) (Domenic and Riccardo); Mariella and Corrado (Sarah, Christina and Paul and Marco and Jessica).

Bis-Nonna of Anthony, Julian (2002), Nicolas, Maria, Antonio, Isabella, Emily and Lucas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Rosa leaves behind family in Italy, whom she cherished.

Rosa was born in Rosolini, Sicily. Family was most important to her and you could always find Rosa sewing, knitting, cooking and baking. She loved the Sunday picnics and card games with her dear family and friends. Their home was always filled with family, friends and laughter. A life well lived.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Chand, to nurses Stephanie, Kim, Kelly, Maryanne, Eugena and Lana, Colette and PSWs Robbie, Brittany, Ola, Sue and Adam. Finally, Ashley our “Life-Line” who provided compassion, kindness and humor to Rosa and us during a difficult time. And a special thanks to our Gosfield Neighbors and friends.

Rosa’s love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm.
