VERSPAGEN, Jack Verspagen

Passed away on February 13, 2026, at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario, at 86 years of age.

Jack was married to the love of his life and best friend, Dawn for 36 years. Loving father to Tiffany (Jonny), Stephanie (Greg), Anne (Fred), Jay, and Theresa, and predeceased by his son Bob. Caring Papa to Ethan, Noah, Lisa, Josh, Natasha, and Heather. Cherished brother to Alice (John), Hank (Kathy), Peter, and Martin (Susan). Predeceased by his father, Wilhelm, and mother, Rika. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jack was an avid car enthusiast and a member, board member, and event organizer with the Sarnia Street Machines for over 30 years. Jack’s hot-rodding days began with the Fergus Wheelers in the 1960s, and he built several hot rods from chassis to tailpipe. Jack loved driving with Dawn to car shows in Canada and the United States over the years.

Jack could and would fix anything, and no challenge was too big for him. He made friends everywhere he went and gave his time and talents without any expectation of something in return. Selflessness is the defining word of Jack’s life.
