It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yolanda Josefina Villasmil de Urdaneta at the age of 96, on September 8th, 2025 at Tsiionkwanonhso: the long term care home.

Loving wife of the late Jesús Urdaneta. Beloved mother of Humberto José, Jesús Alberto, Gustavo Adolfo, Rosalia Beatriz, and Silvia Judith Urdaneta Villasmil. Beloved mother In law of Pilar Garzón, Zuliamara Avila, Karina Barajas, and German Guerrero. Cherished grandmother of Humberto Jose, Jesús Humberto, Virginia, Verónica, Christina, Jesús Alberto, Carlos Edwardo, Juan Carlos, Karina, Miranda Arantxa, Waldo Daniel, Gustavo Adolfo, Gustavo Santigo, Andreina, Silvia Sofia, and Sara Sofia. Treasured great-grandmother of Adriano, Ana Lucia, Iker, Isabella, Mia, Sebastian, Maria Paula, Maria Camila and Maria Victoria. Loved siblings of Berna, Ismeria, and Osbaldo. Yolanda is predeceased by her parents Belarmino Villasmil and Romelia Rincón, and by her siblings Heberto, Nerio, and Eduardo.

As per Yolanda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Tollgate Road East, Cornwall, Ontario at 11:00 a.m. on September 20th, 2025.
