VINCENT, Edward Robert Vincent

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Robert Vincent with family by his side on January 1st, 2026 at the Lakeview Manor Beaverton, Ontario at the age of 94 yrs. Edward was born to the late Ethel and Charles Vincent in Uxbridge, Ontario on September 22, 1931. Proud father of Ellen (John), Gwen (Don) Jennifer (Mark) Dan (Sarah). Loving grandfather of Alice (Will) Mindy (Chris) Luke (Samantha), Josh (Emily), Nathan and great grandfather of Jonathan, Lily, Paisley and Lawson. “Uncle Eddie” will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Ed married Marie Hanshaw on June 26, 1954, and from that day they worked together as a team for 71 years. They Bought a small farm in Vroomanton (near Sunderland) raised a few Pigs, milked cows and shipped cream

In 1967 Ed started his own Electrical Business “Ed Vincent Electric” and that quickly grew and became dad’s passion looking after rural Uxbridge/Sunderland people especially the farmers. A couple of years later he brought home his second passion, a young Percheron (draft horse) mare and so that was the beginning of Roblyn Percherons raising and showing a hitch at many local fairs.

Funeral service will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:30a.m. Following the service a reception will be held. Ed will be laid to rest at the Sunderland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Uxbridge Hospital, specifically to their “Current Needs”.
