She is also survived by her grandsons, Phillip Vincent (Kelly-Anne) and Matthew Vincent (Donna), as well as great-grandchildren Adelaide, Lane, and Aubrey Whalen-Vincent. She was deeply saddened by the loss of her grandson, Charles Vincent (Annie). Carolyn will be dearly missed by her sisters-in-laws who have been her best friends since they were teenagers: Claire (late Andrew) Lavalley, Betty (late James) Russett (Ralph), and Adelle (late Anthony) Quatttrocchi, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Charles T. and Florence (Roever) Anderson and by her brother, Raymond (late Lutischia) Anderson and by her parents-in-law, Samson and Olive Vincent (Amikons).
Carolyn was born in Hamilton, Ohio in 1934 and ventured to Canada as a tourist when she was a teenager. In 1956 she married Hector in Ohio where they raised their four young children there before returning to Golden Lake and then Renfrew in 1963. Carolyn had long-term customer relations employment at the Sears catalogue sales office and with Renfrew Wholesale. Everyone knew that Carolyn was the best cookie baker ever, especially her Grandsons. She was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Ottawa Senators. Carolyn and Hector enjoyed cottage life at Hurd’s Lake and appreciated many snowbird winter seasons in Florida. In retirement they returned to Pikwakanagan, settling in at Tennisco Manor. Both Hector and Carolyn received excellent loving care from the Manor staff for which the family are extremely grateful.
