IVANY, Violetta ‘Babs’ Muriel (nee Janes) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Violetta ‘Babs’ Muriel Ivany (nee Janes), of Kanata, Ontario originally of Clarenville, Newfoundland, at the age of 84 on October 3, 2015.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Garland Anderson Ivany. Loving mother of Doreen deMunnik, Gerald Ivany, Karen Currie (Kent), and grandmother of Joshua and Jodie deMunnik, Peter and Paul Ivany, and Rachel and Shannon Currie.

Dear sister of Jack Janes (Ada). She will also be missed by extended family, nieces and nephews.

Babs was a dedicated mother who loved social gatherings, travel, music and dance. Her spirit and love for life will be missed.

Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, Ontario on Wednesday, October 7th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 8th at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow.
