VISZKED, Steve Viszked

It is with great sadness and broken hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve, on July 21, 2025, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Dianne for 59 years. Dearly loved father of Catherine and Diane (Philip) Beal. Cherished grandfather of Michael (Brandy) Beal. Treasured great-grandpa of Nolan, Natalie, and Emily Beal. Survived by his brother Les, and many nieces and nephews.

Born November 10, 1944, in Kisnarda, Hungary, Steve immigrated to Canada with his parents and brother in 1956 at the age of 12. Steve dedicated his life to tobacco farming and later construction. He was a long-time employee of over 25 years with the Ontario Flue-Cured Tobacco Marketing Board. His proudest accomplishments were his children and being a devoted grandfather.

Steve enjoyed playing soccer in his youth and later attending the soccer games of his grandson and great-grandson. He was also an avid fan of professional soccer, the LA Raiders, and Nascar racing. Steve also enjoyed watching westerns, Star Trek, gardening, birdwatching, spending time with the family pets, playing euchre, and listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring and compassionate nurses and PSWs at Maple Manor Nursing Home for their exceptional care of Steve.
