Mrs. Karen Volkaert of Simcoe, passed away at the Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Monday, June 2, 2025 in her 77th year.

Karen was an avid painter; she was also talented in arts & crafts and enjoyed sewing & crocheting. She adored nature, bird watching and had a very extensive owl collection of her own that she collected over the years. Karen’s adventurous soul will be forever in our hearts.

Former Karen Anne Church. Beloved wife of the Late Gary Volkaert (2007). Loving mother of Matthew (Sinead), Brent (Cheryl) and Michael. Cherished grandmother of Flynn, Kellen, Logan, Chelsea and Shanna. Treasured daughter of Mary Church (née Furlong) and the Late Frederick Church. Dearest sister of Janet Sherman, Deborah Stubbs (Bob) and Kevin Church (Marguerite). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Inurnment in Otter Cemetery, Otterville. Memorial Donations to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre (London Health Sciences Foundation) can be made through the Murphy Funeral Home, Delhi and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
