VRBANAC, Franjo Frank Vrbanac

Passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Windsor Regional Hospital at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Zlata Barsic for 49 years. Loving father of Mary (William). Proud Deda of Marco, whom he loved spoiling every chance he got. Born on August 24,1948 in Veliki Jadrc, Croatia, to the late Dragutin and Marija Vrbanac, Frank later made his home in Windsor, Ontario, where he made a life with his wife Zlata. He was a skilled machinist with Fabco, where his hard work and dedication earned him several awards throughout his career. A veteran of the former Yugoslav Army, he was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor.

Frank cherished spending time at his summer home in Croatia, visiting friends and relatives, and relaxing on the beaches of Crikvenica. He also enjoyed visiting his grandson, shopping in the United States, and finding joy in simple pleasures-admiring cars and going to car shows with his daughter, watching wrestling with his wife, bicycling, and walks. Above all, he loved his family deeply and worked tirelessly to provide for them.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 9:30am – 10:30am. Funeral procession at 10:30am to St. Francis of Assisi Church (1701 Turner Rd. for Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
