WAGG, Donna Ruth Wagg

A devoted wife, mother, cherished grandmother, and the heart of her family, passed away peacefully on December 11 2025, at the age of 80. Donna’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering family support.

Donna spent her career working in banking, retiring from the Bank of Montreal in Dec 2000. She married her true love Mervyn English in 1966, and together they built a beautiful life raising 2 children (Jason and Shanna) together until Merv’s passing in 1994. Donna was lucky enough to find a second true love and married Lloyd Wagg in 1998 and was blessed to have her family grow with the addition of Lloyd’s children (Michelle and Glenn).

As a grandmother, she was legendary, known for her warm hugs, endless smiles, and her knack for making every grandchild feel like her favorite. She nurtured a sprawling, joyous family, always ready with a listening ear, good advice, and a perfectly timed, gentle laugh.

Donna was known as a social butterfly and often described as a beautiful friend that was more like a sister. She spent her life making sure everyone around her was ok and taken care of. She spent thousands of hours worried and concerned for others, her generosity and selflessness was always apparent. Her passing will leave a huge hole in all the lives she has touched over the years.

Donna was preceded in death by her first husband, Mervyn. She is survived by her second husband Lloyd, her children Jason, Shanna (David), Michelle and Glenn (Cathy) her adored grandchildren Nathan, Jasmine, Jackson, Brody, April (Graeme), Brandon, Grace, Larah (Ethan) and Cole, and countless friends who became family.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral home in Bowmanville on Thursday Dec 18, 2025, 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice. She will be deeply missed, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
