WANAMAKER , Leona Mae Wanamaker

Leona passed away peacefully at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston on Sunday August 17, 2025. Leona was a loving wife to Ronald Wanamaker for 67 years and a much-loved mother to Wayne Wanamaker, Linda (Martin Kestle) and Mary Lee Wanamaker. Leona was a proud grandmother to Jason Wanamaker (Katie), Kathy (Mario Folino), David Wanamaker (deceased), Katie Kestle (Joshua Doyle), Emily Kestle (Thomas Grcevic), Thomas Kestle (Lauren Mitchell), Victoria Augustine (David Conca). Leona’s greatest joy was being a great-grandmother to Hayley and Lincoln Folino, Quinlynn and Ava Wanamaker, Lilly and Silas Doyle. Relatives and friends are invited to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday August 24, 2025 for visiting from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Kingsview United Church in Oshawa or Matthews House Hospice in Alliston where Leona spent her finals days surrounded by family and caring staff.
