WARBURTON, Todd Bernard Warburton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Warburton, who left us on August 17, 2025, in Strathroy, Ontario, at the age of 60. Todd was born on June 9, 1965, in Toronto, Ontario. Raised in Cape Breton, Todd moved back to Ontario in his early 30s but his heart always remained in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, a place that shaped who he was and where he always felt at home. A jack of all trades, Todd worked in many roles throughout his life – at the pizza shop in town, behind the wheel of a taxi, under the hood of a car – but his most important and cherished job was being a dad. His greatest pride and joy came from his kids, and he carried that love with him every day. Todd had a lifelong love of sports. He cheered for the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs on the ice, rooted for the Toronto Blue Jays on the diamond, and always enjoyed a good game of darts with friends. Growing up in town, he was never far from a bit of mischief with his buddies Bernie and David, creating stories and laughs that stayed with him through the years. Todd will be deeply missed by his sons Jeff and Greg and their mother Lori, and by his daughter Amanda. He will also be remembered by his siblings: Judy (Rob), Michelle, and Kim, as well as Lucille, Vonnie, Gordie (Sadie), Gary, and Richard. He leaves behind his sisters-in-law Colleen and Margie, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory. Todd was predeceased by his parents Gordon, Regina, and Donna, and his brothers Lewis Richard (in infancy), Eddie, Brian, and Jimmy. Todd will be remembered for his humor, his stubbornness, and his unwavering love and commitment to his family. A celebration of life will be held in Dominion, Nova Scotia, at a later date. In keeping with Todd’s spirit, friends and family will be invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate his life. GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped His arms around you, And whispered, “Come unto me”. You didn’t deserve what you went through, And so He gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. So when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain. I could not wish you to come back, to suffer that all again.
