WARNER, Carol Ann Warner

In loving memory of Carol Ann Warner, who passed away peacefully in her 82nd year at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on April 29th, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was the cherished wife of Don Warner for over 65 years. She was a devoted mother to Paul (Tanis) and Dale (Kim), and a beloved grandmother to Ben (Michelle) and Laura (Darryl). She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Ted (Sandy), sister Denise, and brother-in-law Rick (Linda). Carol was predeceased by her parents Louise (Evans) and Carlyle Brown, and her stepfather George Clayton.

Carol valued family and friendships above all. She created countless fond memories through camping trips and travels across North America and the Caribbean. For more than 50 years, she and Don were dedicated RVers, forging deep friendships that became like extended family.

A proud employee of Bell Canada, Carol served over 25 years, starting in the Beaverton office and finishing her career in Lindsay before her retirement in 1997.

Carol’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She never missed a holiday or birthday, and shared countless moments camping, bike riding, hiking, playing badminton, cards, and board games. Her involvement extended to her nieces—Mandy, Michelle, and Robyn—whom she spoiled lovingly with snacks like cheese and grapes after overnight visits.

Her legendary butter tarts were a family tradition—each tart eagerly shaken to find the runniest one, hair tied back, and spoons at the ready to scoop up every bit of sugary sweetness.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their dedicated care and kindness.

As per Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Beaverton at a later date.
