WASSON, Albert Archer Wasson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Archer Wasson, who passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, at Seaforth Manor in his 86th year.

Loving husband to Nancy (Pawitch) nee Campbell for 33 years. Proud father to Valerie & Paul Kramberger and Shelley & Lee Dorssers. Stepfather to Mike Pawitch and Mark & Crystal Pawitch. Cherished Grandpa and Papa to Cole & Amy Dorssers, Caitlin & Nick Schultz, Ethan & Larissa Dorssers, Keyonia & Dan Bureau, Keldon, Amerra, and Nyla Pawitch, Brody, and Bryce Pawitch. He was also a beloved Great Grandpa to seven great-grandchildren.

Albert was a devoted brother to Barbara & Terry Richmond and Clara Blake, and a dear brother-in-law to Frances & Steve Bearss and Diana Campbell. He was predeceased by his parents George & Margaret (Storey) Wasson, sister Marjorie Wasson, and brothers-in-law Robert ‘Benny’ Blake, Bill Campbell, and Dwight & Joan Campbell.

Albert was an honest, hardworking family man who enjoyed spending time with loved ones. He was actively involved with Blyth United Church, where he sang in the choir and served as Superintendent of the Sunday School. He was also a well-respected town councillor and Reeve of Blyth for many years.

Albert’s career spanned many roles, from running road construction crews to operating heavy equipment and driving semi-trucks. His warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
