SARSON , Wayne Sarson

With sadness, the family of Wayne Sarson, affectionately known as “Sarge,” announces his passing at Bluewater Health on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of 77.

Beloved husband of Julie Palmer for 40 years. Dear father of Shawn Sarson and Kim Sarson (Mel Sansome). Brother of Linda Knight (late Greg Kime). Fondly remembered by nieces Josline, Christine, Alexa, and Jazmin, and great-niece and nephew Ethan and Brianna. Also remembered by sister-in-law Veronica Easdale (Bill) and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Predeceased by parents Donald and Mary Sarson, and brothers Alan and Bryan. Wayne was born in New Liskeard, Ontario, and joined the Canadian Army at 16. He served with distinction in Germany, the Canadian Arctic, and Ottawa, retiring as a Sergeant after 24 years of service. His nickname, “Sarge,” remained with him for life.

Wayne relocated to Sarnia in 1985, where he began a new chapter as a Molson brewery representative, making lasting friendships throughout the community. He was a kind and generous man, beloved by all who knew him.

Sunday, July 20, 2025 – 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At Wayne’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, 286 N. Front St., Sarnia.
