It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Haigh Webster at the age of 88. Frank was involved in a tragic accident that took his life too soon.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Christina (September 13, 2022) & daughter Eleanor (May 19, 2005).
Born in Methil, Scotland to parents Thomas & Annie, Frank immigrated to Canada with his family in 1969.
Frank was a proud and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by his son Frank Jnr & daughter-in-law Anne.
His life lives on in his five grandchildren Elana, Sean, Breanna, Evelynn, Nichole and his three great grandchildren Rhett, Casey and Harper.
A man of many interests, Frank found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Over the years, this appreciation blossomed into a passion for caring for animals. Greyhounds, with their graceful speed and soulful eyes, held a special place in Frank’s heart. Equally beloved were Frank’s pigeons, which he raised and tended to with unwavering dedication. Friends and family remember the quiet joy he found in watching them take to the skies and return again—a symbol of freedom, trust, and home.
When not tending to his animals, Frank could often be found on the bowling green or golf course. An avid lawn bowler and enthusiastic golfer, he cherished the camaraderie of the sport and the calm that came with a perfectly rolled bowl or a well-struck drive.
In his latter years his canine companions Ellie, Ross and Rachel brought him much love and enjoyment.
Frank will be remembered for many things—his dry sense of humour, his unwavering stubbornness, and a fiery personality that lit up every room he entered. He was the kind of man who said exactly what he thought and stood firmly by what he believed.
His memory will be treasured by all who knew him. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
