WELDON , Melissa Lauren Weldon

January 30, 1995 - August 22, 2025
WELDON , Melissa Lauren Weldon

She was the loving daughter of the late Rob Weldon and Angela Stockford, and was born and lived her life in Oshawa. She graduated from O’Neill CVI in 2013. She worked at Metro, and later worked her way up to an Assistant Manager position at Ardene.

As all of her family and friends will attest, Melissa was a bright spark — she was outgoing, sweet, kind, and accepting of everyone. She had a beautiful soul and a wonderful sense of humour. She loved animals, nature, road trips, crafting, tacos, summertime, fashion, doing her nails, and most of all spending quality time with loved ones. Even during the last several years as she went through insurmountable difficulties and was robbed of her health, she never lost her loving and beautiful nature.

She is survived by her devoted mother Angela (Stockford) Sullivan and stepfather Matthew Sullivan, Oshawa; loving sister Megan Weldon (Andrew Tsourounis), Toronto; loving boyfriend Riley Morrison, Oshawa; stepparents Becca and Greg Welch, Millbrook; stepbrothers Jake Holmes (Sam Cooper), Bowmanville, Ryan Holmes (Megan Poole), Oshawa; and grandmothers Vivian Weldon, Oshawa, Elizabeth Dolak, Calgary. Melissa was predeceased by her father Robert Weldon, and grandfathers Barry Weldon and Earle Stockford. She will also be dearly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended relatives among the Weldon, Stockford, Sullivan, Holmes, and related families, and other friends.

Melissa’s family would like to thank the many healthcare professionals that have supported Melissa over the past several years at Lakeridge Health, and all of the homecare workers from ParaMed that have given her help and comfort. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renascent Foundation, Toronto, or Liver Canada (the Canadian Liver Foundation).

In accordance with Melissa’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on September 10th at 2:00 p.m.

She will always be in our hearts, and will never be forgotten.
