WELSH, Doris Welsh

She was welcomed home at heaven’s gate on December 12, 2025, at the age of 83.  Loving mother of Jo-Anne (Les) Crawford of Iroquois, Aaron Welsh of Williamsburg and Scott (Cathy) Welsh of St. Johns, Newfoundland. Dear sister of Sherran Disotell of Ottawa. Loving grandmother to Stephanie (Matt) Derouchie, Jessica Crawford, Brandon Welsh, Michael Welsh, and Solomon Welsh. Beloved great-grandmother to Kaydance McMillan and Clarke Derouchie.   She was predeceased by her husband Donald Welsh, her parents Irwin & Hazel Richmire and her siblings: Geraldine Crowder, Helen Tyo, Frances Casselman, Lyla McCooeye, Beatrice Richardson, Verna Richardson, Gladys Richmire, Lyle and Darcy.  She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Doris’ greatest passion was her family, whom she loved with all of her heart. She was known for always putting others before herself. Her Christmas spirit will live on through her family. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Winchester Hospital for the care they provided to Doris during her final days.

Funeral Arrangements

A private burial ceremony will take place in the spring followed by a celebration of life.
