Welten, Gary Richard
Gary Richard Welten of Thedford, ON passed away at the age of 85 on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Bluewater Health. Dearly missed by his loving wife Freda Welten and his blended family of 44 years.

Loving father to Pam Giles (late Bruce Giles), Brian Welten (Janet), Paul Welten (Alina), Jeff Horner (JoeyLea), Kim Dupuis (Peter), and Sherri Horner. Grandfather to Greg Giles (Alicia), David Welten (Eve), Daniel Welten (Jackie), Lauren, Paige, Joel, Hank, and Clay. Great-grandfather to Kinsley, Boston, Blakely, and Hailey.

Survived by his sister Brenda (Art) MacDonald. Also missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Gary loved being a truck driver and keeping busy riding his motorcycle. He hunted, fished, enjoyed playing and watching sports, and going to the Casino. Gary was also a caretaker to many abandoned and neglected animals. He had a sense of humour to the end.

As per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering with family and friends will take place on July 19th, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at the Thedford Legion (cash bar only).
