WHITE, David Furnival White

Beloved husband, father and Poppy, David Furnival White, 87, of Ajax, ON, passed away on November 30, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Ajax.

David loved music, family and the simple pleasures of life – bird watching from the back porch, eating spaghetti and meatballs, sharing a practical joke with friends, forwarding countless joke emails and making sure people knew how much he loved them. A life – long learner, David took great pride in his many educational endeavours both as teacher and student. He always enjoyed sharing his expertise, knowledge and humour.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mollie/Mary; children – Robin (Steve), Carl (Irenke), Stewart (Rachel), Jessie/Muffin (Nicolas) and Maggie (Aaron); grandchildren – Connor, Emma, Duncan, Iain, Gabrielle, Malcolm, Sébastien, Lennox, Lilliane, Jackson, Leah, and Moira; many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Alice, sister, Eileen and brother, William.
To know David—whether for a moment or a lifetime—was to have a friend. He always had time for a chat, a laugh, or a story, and he opened his heart to everyone he met. We will remember him most for the kindness he gave so freely.
A service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 @ 1:00 at Brooklin United Church, 19 Cassels Road East, Brooklin. Reception to follow at Mt Zion Masonic Hall, 14 Cassels Road East, Brooklin.
