It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick James Whitney, who died peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto on November 26, 2024, following a heart attack, with family by his side. Born on the Miramichi, NB, on March 15, 1940, Patrick was a man of resilience, warmth, and integrity who touched many lives.

Patrick is deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Camie Tang-Chang, his children Jane Parker (John) and Jim Whitney (Jane), and his grandchildren Josh, Hayden, Emily, Brock, and Georgia. He was also a proud “bonus father” to Theresa and Laura. Surviving siblings Mona, Wilma, Donna, Linda, Rosalie, and Robert, as well as sister-in-law Heather, friend Mary, nieces Natalie and Aimée, and the van Feggelen family, mourn his loss. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Evelyn, his ex-wife Lynn, and siblings Fay and Laurie.
