Bill and Joan were married October  8, 1954. Bill was a longtime educator with the Scarborough and Peel Boards, with music and French as special interests, and working with children his true passion.

An appreciation of knowledge and the value of education led him to pursue additional opportunities, including a year of study in France. Music was a large part of his life and he loved nothing better than a sing-song around the piano.  At the age of 9, Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. As a lifetime member of the Brethren Assemblies, he played both the piano and the organ in worship services for many years.  He also shared his gift for music through volunteer work in nursing homes and schools.

Many memorable summers were enjoyed at Eagle Lake, gardening and hosting friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Markham Bible Chapel, 51 Cairns Drive, Markham on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., with service following at 12 noon. Interment will take place on Monday, January 4th in Wainfleet.
