INGLEBY, William “Bill” Russell Ingleby

Ingleby, William “Bill” Russell – Peacefully, yet unexpectedly, on June 4, 2025, William Russell Ingleby passed away. Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara Ingleby (née Shipman), he is lovingly remembered by his daughters Janna (Matt) and Meaghan (Kevin), and his cherished grandchildren Ruby, Miles, and Rhett.

Bill built a successful career in sales, but his heart was always in the game. He dedicated much of his adult life to refereeing hockey and football—a source of camaraderie and joy. In retirement, he found great fulfillment volunteering with the Grimsby Benevolent Fund.

Visitation will take place at Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 3–5 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Grimsby Benevolent Fund.
