BURTON, William Jerome Burton

BURTON, William Jerome  –  Passed away at Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the age of 88.

William was the son of the late William Robert and Georgina (Ogilvie) Burton.

Beloved husband of Barbara Kathleen (Kirke) Burton.

Loved father of Ian (Pamela) Burton of Florida; and predeceased by daughter, Lynn Kathleen Burton.

Survived by sister, Airlie Suutari of Collingwood. William loved golfing and curling.

He enjoyed singing in the Trinity-St. Andrew’s Church Choir and in the VOCALESE, Brighton’s Community Choir. William was a gregarious talker and visitor, and will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity-St. Andrew’s United Church, 56 Prince Edward Street, Brighton, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Reverend Wanda Stride officiating. Interment will be held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery, Mississauga, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of William may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
