LAKING, (Bill) William Laking, Obituary

LAKING, (Bill) William  – On Christmas morning, watching the sun rise from his own bedroom window, William John Laking left his physical burdens behind and was born into a new life.

He will be missed forever by his devoted wife Isabel, they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary last April.

Myrna and Ron his children will remember his gentle loving ways and solid life lessons.
Dad was born on January 24, 1927 in Burksfalls Ontario, to William and Viola Laking, they also have a daughter Muriel Laking who is living at the Huron Lodge in Elliot Lake.

Bill and Isabel are proud grandparents to nine natural grandkids and three step grandchildren. We have wonderful memories of family times together.

Myrna and Ron have become grandparents themselves now we can say there are fifteen great grandchildren!

Everyone is invited to come and remember Bill and celebrate his new life with us on Monday January 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Holy Trinity United Church, Elliot Lake. We would like to meet everyone at the door so please arrive early if you can, there will be a reception following the service.

If you would like to make a donation, Bill was fond of the Elliot Lake Food Bank. I am certain donations to them would be appreciated, otherwise a charity of your choosing.
