WILLIAMSON, Joseph Williamson

December 2, 1939 - September 23, 2025
WILLIAMSON, Joseph Williamson

passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Uxbridge Hospital on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 85.

Loved and deeply missed by his partner, Carolyn Allen (née Roxborough), and her children Tim (Karen), Rob (Susan), Scott (Lisa), and grandchildren Claire, Paige, Jake, Ben, Hayden, and Hilary, who were so blessed to know him as a cherished “bonus” dad and grandpa. Joe will also be remembered with love by his sister Gwendy Melville (Willy), brother Chris (Irene), brother Harold (deceased) nephews Dean and Darren Melville, Kevin and Keith Williamson, brother in law Donald Simmonds and his children Mairi (Jason) and Craig (Becky), nephew Stuart Simmonds (Wendy), as well as extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret (née Simmonds).

Joe was born in Tain, Scotland and came to Canada in 1966. Joe was a man of many talents and passions. He had a lifelong love of classic cars and F1 racing, and there was little he couldn’t fix when it came to anything mechanical. His skill extended to restoring and rebuilding clocks, and more recently, he found joy in model trains. Joe was a proud and longstanding Mason and an active Shriner, dedicating his time and energy to fellowship and community. Above all, he will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the gift he was to his family and all who knew him.
