WILLMS, George Willms

Beloved husband of the late Leona (Lehn) (2018). Loving father of Ted Willms (Margaret) and Lee Anne Impens (Glenn). Predeceased by son Peter Willms (2021), and grandsons Clayton Willms (1995) and Jason Impens (2024). Cherished grandfather of Natalie Huff (Dave), Heath Willms and Kyle Impens (Csilla). Survived by 9 great grandchildren, brother Walter Willms (Jean), sister Alice Toews (Frank) and brother Jack Willms (Charlotte). Predeceased by brothers Peter Willms (Mary) (2022) and Henry (Hank) Willms (Elsie) (1968). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

George left farming in 1963, returned to school and became a teacher and principal in many schools throughout Essex County. He continued in this career until the age of 70 years. He then pursued a career in real estate. He and Leona loved to drive across the country and visit family and friends all across Canada and the U.S.A. They faithfully attended LakePoint Family Church until moving into the Leamington Mennonite Home.

Visitation will be held at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St., Leamington(519-326-2631) on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 12:30 pm until the time of Service at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Leamington. Memorial donations to the Leamington Mennonite Home are appreciated by the family.
