WILSON, James “Jim” Philip Wilson

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 6, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on September 29, 1954, Jim lived a life marked by dedication, music, friendship, and a deep love for his family.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah, his children Christine (Jonathan) and David, and his cherished granddaughter Riley, who always brought a special light to his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother Tom (Bruce) and his sister Linda.

For thirty years, Jim worked with Purolator, where he was respected for his hard work, loyalty, and steady presence. After retiring, he embraced a well deserved chapter of rest and enjoyment, spending time with those he loved and pursuing the passions that defined him.

One of Jim’s greatest joys was music. A proud 38 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Jim sang bass and found immense fulfillment in harmonizing with others. He also shared his musical talent as the director of the Strathroy chorus, guiding singers with his trademark patience, humour, and unwavering enthusiasm.

In 1994, Jim joined the Harmony Ranch Recreation Club, a community that quickly became a second family. Over more than three decades, he built lifelong friendships and contributed meaningfully to the club, even serving briefly as secretary. His presence at Harmony Ranch—whether singing, laughing, or lending a hand—will be fondly remembered.

Jim will be missed for his warm heart, his love of music, and his ability to form genuine connections wherever he went. His legacy lives on in the songs he shared, the friendships he nurtured, and the family he loved so deeply.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sing Canada Harmony or Parkinson Canada in Jim’s memory.

May he rest in peace.
