WITTNEBEL, Richard Bruce  –  Passed away peacefully, with his parents by his side on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Sunnyside Home at the age of 58. Beloved son of Joan and John ‘Jack’ Wittnebel.

Loving brother of John (Donna), David (Kelly) and Mark (Pernille).  Cherished uncle of Claire, John, Kyle, Joel, Daniel, Liam, Cecille and Emily.  Dear nephew of Nancy Thomas (the late Frank), Bruce Wittnebel (Lucille) and Doreen McLachlan (Don).
Survived by many cousins.  Remembered by his best friends Dale and Regina Weber.

Predeceased by grandparents Edith Voelzing (Eldon), John Wittnebel, Erma Stankiewicz (William) and Frank Thomas.

Richard participated in the Special Olympics, winning a silver medal and was a volunteer in the community. He enjoyed camping every year with his brothers, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in Kitchener, on Friday, October 9th.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnyside Home Foundation or the Sunnyside Home Foundation-Alzheimer Day Program would be appreciated by the family.

Special thanks for the loving care that Richard received from all the care givers, volunteers, staff and Chaplain Shirley Ruller at Sunnyside Home-Laurel Creek.
