WONG, Mee Guk Wong

Passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on February 15, 2026 in Vancouver, BC. She was the beloved mother of daughters Helen Beres, Jennie Mah, Tina Lam, and sons James Wong and George Wong with several grandchildren, Julie, Angela, Ricky, Patrick, Stephanie, Jonathan, Celeste, and Pierson, together with seven great grandchildren. Her husband of many years, Henry Har Gow Wong, predeceased her in 2010.

She has born in Hoi Ping China on September 28, 1928 to Mr. Wing Yu Chow and Mrs. Ho King Chow, and came to Canada in the 1950’s to join both her husband, and parents setling in several towns in Alberta Canada before moving to Vancouver BC in 1973 where she lived un􀆟l her passing. Her parents together with her brother Lem Kuo Chow lived in Wainwright Alberta before coming to Vancouver where they all predeceased Mee Guk Wong several years ago

She was a very kind and social person who had many, many friends and acquaintances who predeceased her due to her longevity. Although her life was not an easy one, she persevered with a quiet sense of duty, much like her beloved mother before her whom she will now be joining.

She was well loved and may her journey and soul be at peace for all eternity.

Family viewing will be evening February 26, 2026 from 18:00 to 20:00 at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel at 1835 East Has􀆟ngs Street, Vancouver, BC

There is no chapel service and only a gravesite service the next day on February 27, 2026 at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC from 10:00 to 11:00.
