It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of E. Ionne (Douglas) Woodall, of Lambeth ON, formerly of Watford ON in her 86th year, at Victoria Hospital, London, ON, on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Beloved wife of Joe Woodall for 66 years. Together they raised 5 children who will miss her beyond measure: Cheryl (Rick), Terry (Catharine), Pam (Kevin), Tim (Ryoko), Tom (Jennifer), and granddaughter Vicki Cere (Chris).
Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Ionne will be missed by siblings Sandy Hayward (late Bill), Penny Hall (Roy), and Lyle (Dorthy).
Predeceased by daughter Elizabeth, great-granddaughters Kameryn and Angelica, her sister Inez Pecena (Don), her brothers Jerry (late Kathy), and John (Joan), and her parents Jack and Helen (Jean) Douglas.
Ionne is also survived by her brothers – and sisters-in-law of the Woodall family.
She will be missed by several generations of nieces and nephews in the Douglas and Woodall families.
Ionne grew up on the family farm on London Line, RR 5 Watford, ON. On August 21, 1959, she married Joe, her high school sweetheart. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary at their home in Lambeth, ON.
She was happiest in her gardens or camping, preferably with bare feet, followed by a good campfire surrounded by family.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at DENNING’S OF WATFORD, 232 Warwick Street, Watford, ON, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a reception at Trinity Anglican Church, 5331 Nauvoo Rd, Watford, ON following the service.
Interment will take place at a later date in Watford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ionne may be made to Trinity Anglican Church, Watford ON, the Watford Food Bank (cheques payable to Watford United Church re: Food Bank), or a charity of your choice.
