WOODHOUSE, Lois Ellen Muttart Woodhouse
November 17, 1924 - March 24, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Ellen Muttart Woodhouse, peacefully at Woodstock Hospital, with her son Patrick and daughter-in-law Jean by her side, on March 24, 2025, at the age of 101.
Lois was the loving mother of Raymond (late Nancy, 2000) of Powassan, Ontario, and Patrick (Jean) of Woodstock, Ontario. She was the cherished grandmother of James (Trisha) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Patrick (Marni) of Houston, Texas, U.S.A., Jennifer (Nelson) of Milton, Ontario, Ellen Crozier and Ashley Muttart of Astorville, Ontario. Lois is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents James and Vera Woodhouse, and her siblings Marie Moon, Catherine Cowan, Horace, Arnold, and grandson Carey Muttart.
Lois was born in East Oxford Township and worked for many years at various places, including the Norwich Broom Factory and Firestone, later retiring after 37 years at Harvey-Woods. She enjoyed activities such as sewing, knitting, needlepoint, and playing games with the Harvey-Woods girls. She was also a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Coronation Street and had a passion for skating and a love for cats.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment will take place at C.G. Walker Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
