WOOLCOCK, Sharon Woolcock

Mum passed peacefully on November 7, 2025. She joins her husband, John Woolcock; son, Robert Woolcock; mother, Gladys Campbell; brother, Leroy Campbell, and many other relatives and friends in heaven.

She leaves behind her daughter, Lauren Cornelison (Mitch); granddaughters, Natasha VanderVies (Joel), Alaina Cornelison, and Jenelle Cornelison; great granddaughters, Jocelyn and Evelyn VanderVies; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Mum grew up in rural Saskatchewan until the age of 12, then lived in Trail until she graduated from High School. After graduation, she moved to Victoria to take nursing at St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She worked in the OR at St. Joseph’s for many years as well as a variety of nursing homes in Victoria and Duncan.

Mum was a lover of animals throughout her entire life. She was often heard saying that she liked animals better than people. She was especially fond of her last tuxedo cats, Tom, Dick and Harry who passed on before her.

Throughout her life, she was a fashionista before it was cool to be one. She was always well put together, and her family always loved a chance to shop with her and at Gran’s Boutique! Her love for healthy eating, exercise and a strong will to live, contributed to her longevity, surviving an impressive 94 years.  She was one of the last ones standing in her generation of close friends and family.

Mum will be deeply missed for her bold and vibrant personality, her generosity and openness to always house loved ones and friends, her intelligent wit and banter and her strong love for her family and pets. We look forward to reminiscing on all the wonderful memories we have of her.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to your local Food Bank, animal shelter or rescue or the charity of your choice.
