WREFORD, Sharon Wreford – Obituary
WREFORD, Sharon – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Wreford at the age of 68. Peacefully, with family at her side, she lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Sharon fought a hard fight for over 18 months but always retained her wonderful sense of humour and calm.
She leaves behind her husband Bill, son Jeremy, daughter Melissa, daughter-in-law Carrie Wreford and son-in-law John Shannon.
Sharon was adored by her grandchildren, Isabella Kenyon, Callum Shannon and Lea Shannon of Toronto and Ezra Wreford and Gigi Wreford of Stratford. Seeing them was her very best medicine during her illness.
She will be missed by her sister Joan Neely and brother-in-law Bob along with brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Kathy Wreford, Paul and Faye Wreford and Gail Wreford and partner Jim Agar all of Stratford.
She was predeceased by her father Wilbert Flood, her Mom Isabel and mother and father-in-law Marian and Gordon Wreford.
Sharon was immensely appreciative of all the support from her family and friends, especially the friends in her bridge club. Dr. Donna Tomlinson was incredibly helpful and compassionate along with so many doctors, nurses and technicians in Stratford and London. The support of the CCAC was invaluable.
She was perhaps best known for her association with Bradshaws where she worked alongside Bill for 30 years. Since retiring Sharon enjoyed spending time with friends and family, travelling, bridge club, painting, cooking and showering her grandchildren with love. Sharon lived her life with no regrets and would want everyone to remember her for the vibrant, loving and amazing person she was. Words cannot express the loss we feel.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will take place at Revival House (formerly the Church Restaurant) on Sunday October 18, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. We hope all Sharon’s family and friends will be able to drop by and help celebrate the life of a beautiful person.
Arrangements out of Stratford.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy please consider a memorial donation in memory of Sharon to Stratford General Hospital Foundation or the Rotary Club of Stratford-Stratford/Perth Hospice Project.
