YANDT, Susan Ellen Yandt
July 27, 1951 - December 26, 2025
Passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on December 26, 2025, at the age of 74.
Susan was the devoted wife of John Yandt for 55 years, and a loving mother to her daughters, Jennifer (the late Robert Whitworth) and Angela (Paul Mason). She was also a dear sister to Alice Wright, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. Her greatest earthly joy was her family, and she cherished her role as Nana to Taylor, Abigail, Kelly, Cassidy, Grace, Caleb, and Evelyn. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in their lives and stories.
Susan had a quiet, steady presence marked by kindness, loyalty, and care. She loved to read and enjoyed settling in to watch a good movie. She found great enjoyment in playing gamesβmost recently Canastaβtreasuring the laughter, conversation, and connection that came with time spent together. She also took delight in her salt and pepper shaker collection and could often be found enjoying a Dr Pepper, small pleasures that reflected her appreciation for simple joys.
Summers held a special place in her heart, especially time spent at the family trailer at Muskoka Bible Centre in Huntsvilleβa favourite retreat where faith, rest, and family came together.
A committed member of her church family, Susanβs faith in Jesus Christ shaped her life and anchored her hope. She lived with a gentle trust in God that carried her through both ordinary days and difficult seasons.
Susan graduated from Uxbridge High School with a focus in business and went on to work faithfully at United Auto Parts, Canadian Tire, and Walmart. She approached her work with diligence and humility, forming many meaningful connections along the way.
Susan will be deeply missed by her husband, children, sister, grandchildren, extended family, and friends, yet her family rejoices in the assurance that she is now fully healed and at home with Christ. Her life leaves a legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength that will continue to shape generations to come.
