YOUNGMAN, Dora Ellen Youngman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Dora Ellen Youngman on January 7th in her 93rd year. Mom was born on July 3rd, 1933, and predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Robert Youngman. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, daughters Frances (predeceased) Debbie (Eric), Gail (Otto) & Janet (Steve), including her grandchildren Kerry (Paul), Stephanie, Corey (Clare), Tyler (Jasmina), Aprilee (Adam) & Shannon. The proud great grandmother of 4 and great great grandmother of 2.

Mom was the best stay-at-home mother with a loving nature that raised us 4 girls and was a devoted house wife who had amazing baking skills. No one, whether family or friends, ever left her home hungry in which she took great pride. Mom was a very kind, gentle, caring, loving soul who was always there to eagerly help family & friends. She drove all of us to our many activities, and supported us in our many endeavours. She is to be commended for her amazing strength and determination as she rose to several challenges during her life.

As a proud member of the Kendal United Church, she volunteered much of her time with the United Church Women’s group and was the President for a period of time.

Mom loved to participate in activities with the family & enjoyed playing cards, camping, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, etc. She particularly loved to dance, sing and listen to live music around the campfire.

Family and friends are invited to Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division St. Bowmanville, on Monday January, 12 2026 from 11am – 1pm with a service to follow. Burial will take place at Bowmanville Cemetery.
