IDLE, Donald "Don" Arthur Idle - Of Hepworth, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the age of 84 years.
A former teacher and vice principal for 33 years and a dedicated volunteer at the Grey Bruce Health Services.
Don had a love for travel and was known by all for his great sense of humour and wit.
Beloved husband to Betty (nee Brydle).
Devoted stepfather to Stephen (Dawn), Scott (Pinjay), Brent (Shelley); Angie (Linda), Michelle and Leslie.
Cherished grandfather to Zach (Amanda), Luke, Jade, Nashell, Quinn, Hailey, Drew, Nicolas, Emily (Jordan), Justin (Mariah), Katie, Adam and Tessa; and great-grandfather to Jayda and Scarlett.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Iva, Betty's parents Fred and Myrtle, brothers Claire (Gayle), Merle (Allie) and brother-in-law Wayne (Paulette). Brother to Larry (Sandra) and Paul (Helen). Brother-in-law to Sid (Betty).
Don will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton, on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. with a celebration of Don's life to immediately follow.
