FRATER, Robert - (1928 - 2022) After a splendid 94 years of love, travel and beavering away at a never-ending list of odd jobs, Bob sipped his final dram of life at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, on May 5th.
Beloved by his late wife Shirley, adored by daughter Dianne (Mark) Ingwersen and son Rob (Katherine Scott), he was a proud Papa to Stephanie (Matt), Melissa (Rob), Michelle (Craig), Charlotte and Liam, and Great-papa to Audrey and Lachlan.
The last of the Fraters of the wee village of Alness, Scotland, he was predeceased by his mischievous brother Jackie and devoted sister Marian Mackay. Many other family members will miss him always.
The list of those who loved him is not a short one.
Bob treated everyone he met with kindness, and helped everyone with whatever they needed to get done, even the things they didn't know needed doing.
He was grateful for how much his adopted country of Canada had given him, though he earned it all through dint of hard work.
