DUDNIK, Rima (Mod) - Peacefully in her 94th year at Port Hope Extendicare on Tuesday, May 10th.
Rima, beloved wife of the late Dymitry (1991) and beloved mother of the late Natalie (2004).
She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Lydia and her husband George Schneider, and her son Alexander and his wife Janet.
Loving grandmother of Amanda, Olivia, Christine, Curtis and great-grandmother of Isabella, Cyle and Selina.
Rima's family was always foremost in her life and brought great love and joy to her.
She was an active longtime member of St. Demetrius Orthodox Cathedral.
She volunteered for many years with the Toronto Food Bank and in 2000 Rima received the volunteer of the year award and spent many years volunteering at the Oncology unit of Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga.
Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Panakhyda in the chapel at 8 p.m. The Orthodox Rite of Funeral in the Chapel on Monday at 1 p.m., followed by interment. Following the interment, family and friends are invited to a reception at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
