HARRIS, Reginald Malcom   -  February 15, 1935 – May 3, 2022

Reginald Malcom Harris was born on February 15, 1935, in Toronto, Ontario, to Sydney Harris of Dundee, Scotland and Harriet Cox of Birmingham, England.

He was the 5th child and baby of the family. He was predeceased by his brothers Bill and Albert and his sisters Hilda Cox and Gertrude Thompson. His loving wife of 33 years, Rose Mary (nee Leiper), passed away, on October 9, 1995.

He is survived by his daughters, Liz Lamarre (Paul) and Kathryn Sullivan (Tom) and grandchildren Chris, Dylan, Ben, Patrick, Jordan, Spencer, Cameron and Sarah-Rose.

Reg's first love was art and he attended the Ontario College of Art in his twenties. Eventually, he settled on the teaching profession, graduating from teacher's college at Western University in 1972. He taught at Georgetown District High School from 1972 to 1996.

Reg was supportive of his grandchildren's interests and attended many running and ski races, and soccer, hockey, baseball and lacrosse games.

Reg was a kind neighbour, a caring friend and a loving father and grandfather.

The hole he leaves in this family is great and his absence will be difficult to overcome. Let every act of kindness and good deed be a gentle reminder of the love he shared with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton, on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m.

Donations, in honor of Reg, can be made to the Ian Anderson House Hospice.
