Taylor JeanTAYLOR, Jean Amilda   -  June 20, 1932 - July 27, 2022

Jean Amilda Taylor of Ottawa passed away peacefully, on July 27, 2022 in Toronto.

Born in Barbados to the late Fitzgerald and Ismay Taylor, Jean earned her nursing qualifications in the United Kingdom.

Most of her nursing career was spent as an ICU nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

Nursing was more than a career for Jean, it was a calling to which she devoted her life.

She was the loving sister of Mignon (George deceased) Barker, Elrick, Elviston (Sonia), Marion and Edwin (Claudette) Taylor. Predeceased by brother, Calvin (Carmen) Browne; and sister, Ernetta (Hugh) Pearce.

Beloved aunt of Carol-Ann and Dave Barker, Jennie (Ian) Lashley, Bonnie Pearce, Tracy, Karen, Glenn (Kate) and Duane Taylor, Lisa (Corey) Johnson, Amanda (Adam) Forrest. Great-aunt of many.

Viewing and Funeral will take place on Friday, August 5, 2022, at New Haven Funeral Centre Inc., 7025 Legion Road, Mississauga. Visitation: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and Funeral: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Attendees are asked to please wear masks due to continuing COVID concerns.
