REID, Hugh Francis - April 7, 1933 - August 7, 2022
In Loving Memory It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Francis Reid, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He peacefully passed away, on August 7, 2022, in his 90th year, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.
After joining the Air Force in his younger days, his passion was building airplanes at Douglas Aircraft, DeHavilland Aircraft and Bombardier, throughout his career.
Always quick to make a joke, he made many family members and friends laugh and smile. He enjoyed camping with his family during summer holidays and was always there to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his children, David and Carolyn; and reunited in heaven with his infant son, Brian. He is also survived by his sisters, Anita, Charlotte, Clare; his brother, Tommy; his grandchildren: Daniel, Nicole, Jonathan (Amanda), Nicholas (Elisa); and his great-granddaughter, Acelynn.
Scott Funeral Home will be accepting Visitation, Thursday, August 11th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Catholic Service to be held Friday, August 12th, at 12 p.m. Reception to follow in the lounge.
